Slippery Elm contains mucilage which has a soothing effect on the stomach and gastrointestinal tract, protecting from inflammation.

Warning
There are no known drug interactions, however some herbalists recommend taking Slippery Elm at a different time of the day to any medication in case the mucilage content interferes with absorption.
