At Viridian, we go to great lengths to find the best ingredients for our products. We have an efficient recycling programme for our glass bottles. In addition, we give 50% of available profit to charity. This means that, after paying all of the overhead costs and investing back in our growing company, we take the money left over and give a minimum of 50% to charity. Just so you know, during 2001, after one full year’s trading, we donated £15,000 to a selection of environmental, children’s and other charities and a further £15,000 in 2002. Beneficiary charities so far include Amnesty International, Barnado’s, Born Free Foundation, ChildLine, Friends of the Earth, Hackney City Farm, Help the Aged, Maggie’s Cancer Care, National Deaf Children’s Society, NSPCC, Orangutan Foundation, RSPB, Shelter, Terrence Higgins Trust, Trees for London, UNICEF, The Variety Club and the Woodland Trust.

We are dedicated to making our company as green as possible and part of that commitment is taking responsibility for the environmental impact of our glass packaging. Our recycling programme is an old-fashioned idea, simply take the empty bottle back to the store where you bought it and they will recycle the bottle and give you back 25p.

The raw materials for our products are carefully sourced in order to obtain the best available ingredients. Wherever possible, we use organic ingredients to avoid the use of chemical sprays and artificial fertilisers. Just check out our labels to see that our capsules and powders simply include the ingredients listed on the label with no undesirable extras added during encapsulation. We use a green food blend of spirulina, bilberry and alfalfa as a natural filler for our capsules.
